egg roll

I learned today that I can't have fried foods.  I had half of a half of an egg roll (I know I shoudn't of had it).  I got a horrible pain in my stomache.  Couldn't believe how much it hurt.  Walked around, had foamies and took anacid.  The pain wouldn't go away.  I ended up emptying my stomach into the toliet.(sorry about that).  After that my pain was gone.  I've learned that I won't have fried food again.

Has anyone else experencied this?

Oh yes, I have experienced that many times. I think it was the density of the food more so than it being fried. Dense, doughy foods get stuck very easily. Things with consistency of bagels, pizza crust, anything that tends to be dry going down. And egg rolls have that type of consistency. You have to be careful and chew a lot. I came to the depressing realization that there are some foods I love that I just can't eat anymore unless it's pureed. And pureed egg rolls just sounds wrong

Bummer ---- for me, the crunchy part of the eggroll would have gone down fine -- the interior would probably have been what caused me problems.

Unfortunately, I can eat lots of fried foods.

Trust me -- after the pain wears off, you will be better off without the fried food -- even though the mouth still wants them.

Also -- after the 'refund' you probably should stick to liquids/softs for a day or so.

Fried foods bother my stomach, but it might have been the shredded cabbage or carrots that you typically find in eggrolls that got you.  I'm the same way, It's a bummer, but it's one more REALLY fattening food that I can't eat!

Take care and you should stick to liquids for 24 after such a violent stuck/pb experience.

Best~

Not sure what an egg roll is but it sounds like what I would call a spring roll??? Shredded veg and other things like egg or shrimp in a filo pastry roll, fried?

If so, it may well have been the egg or the shredded cabbage rather than the frying which caused problems.

Yes and egg roll is simular to a spring roll.  I'll stay away from cabbage as well.
