I had lap band surgery a while ago. I plateaued at 30 pounds lost. Then I went back up, then down. YO YO-ing stinks.   We're talking, 4 pounds in a week and a half..up and up...

That is it. I can't seem to lose more.  I am at 6 cc in a 10 cc band. (any more gave me horrible heartburn)  The worst part:  I feel I am eating more. I can finish foods I couldn't before.
If I have stretched my pouch, how do I get it back to "normal" and restricted?
If I haven't stretched my pouch, I am so lost and confused. Why am I not losing any more? Over the holidays, I actually GAINED.  I feel like I am simply losing to go back to my starting "plateau" weight.

Has anyone had this problem? How do you pick yourself up and go on, without feeling like a huge disappointment?  I have let myself down, and I'm worried I have let others down too.

Don't worry about letting others down, this is not their journey.  It is your journey only.

Have you tried low carb?  It's a buggar for the first few days but when the craving die down a bit but you don't have to count calories, eat as much as you need to stay satisfied, and when the scale really starts moving then you find you get some mojo back.

What do you think?

I can only get .2 ccs at time because I lost so much fat around my stomach if I get a fill bigger than that I can't keep protein down.
If it's been more than 6 weeks since your last fill I would ask for a tiny amount and it might work.

Second I too gained around the holiday I gained 20 freakin pounds!! yes 20 of them and so far I have lost exactly 10.2 of those pounds.. by not eating junk plain and simple.

I was pounding cookies, desserts, chips.. cheetos.. candy etc and food and well heavy food and I gained.. it wasn't my bands fault it was mine I choose to put that food in my mouth and the scale showed it.

Since then I went back to NOT eating those things daily but on the rare occasion and I went back to protein, veggies and whole grain carbs...and I still drink.. not a ton but I still drink. I do try to limit my carbs but I don't consume 20-50 a day.. I'm more like 100 to-120 a day all of them come from veggies, fruit, or high fiber cereal.

I eat three meals a day 1 snack (fruit) and sometimes 1 dessert like WW individual cup of ice cream or jello!

The band only limits how much can I eat but it doesn't help me make the right choices or get rid of my head hungry.. it just doesn't.. I wi**** was miracle worker but its not.. i have to find the strength within myself to make great choices Each and every day.. and I'm okay with that.

Good Luck.
