I am 14 days post op, and am doing well.  My long time friend and PA @ my WLS clinic told me someting very imortant.  YOU MUST GET YOUR PROTEINS IN AND FLUIDS.  AND WALK.  the protein will help you heal faster and the fluids are essential to getting you to feeling better.  Meeting my protein and fluid goal was a challenge the first 3 days, but it got easier and easier as the days went on.  some people cant  tolerate very cold fluids, but I found that crushed ice was a life saver for me.  I got it in 5 lb bags at a local fast food that has the soft pellet type.  It was sooo good and I just constantly nibbled on the ice.  sip sip sip all the time and you will be feeling better soon.   My first few days fluids were apple juice diluted 50/50 w. water.  Pour over the ice and it was a treat.   And when my tongue felt sticky, brush your teeth and tongue. It will refresh you adn make you feel better.

The worst thing I had was sore throat from removal of the breathing tube after surgery.  My soft pallette was practically raw.  Gargle w. warm sal****er helped me, it healed completely in about 5 days.

Good luck to you.  I hope this has helped lift your mood.

I got the lapband on Monday the 7th. Home last night. Surprised how much the port area hurts. Takes my breath away at times.

I got my Realize on 2/16 so just 3 weeks I'm learning to but you can message me on here if you just need support. I also had gall bladder surgery today so I feel like a pin cushion.
