Hi Everyone :-)
I'm getting banded on 3/29 and so thought I'd pop in here and see some of you band veterans have any advice or words of wisdom to share for the pre-op, liquid diet or post-op phases?
I did actually go through the liquid diet once already as my surgery was originally scheduled for 3/1, but my surgeon slipped on some ice and dislocated his shoulder, so I opted to reschedule rather than have someone I'd never met.
I was using Muscle Milk Light for the protein shakes, but I'm open to other suggestions if you have them.
Thanks!
Tina

Congrats on your upcoming surgery, it'll be here before you know it!!
I didn't do a pre-op diet so don't really have any good suggestions for that. On this page, to the right in blue where it says About Lap-Band system, click on a subject, there is some good info.
I drank Unjury protein shakes, Isopure protein drink (like a high protein Gatorade), sugar free pop sickles, broth, after wards. You probably won't be too hungry for the first couple of days. Your Dr should give you a handout on what to get.
Good luck and keep us posted!!
