Considering the band? Think twice!

I think there is a better chance that my kids, my boss, my mother or ex-husband will have the honor of making me a whackadoodle! LOL

All I can say is I will take that 25% chance that I want it out.  At least there is something that can be done.  Rerouting your insides is just crazy...You are done and stuck with the results for the rest of your life.  No second chances.

I think your unhappiness makes you appear to be a wackadoodle.

How do you figure bypass is not reversible?  Why do you say it is for the rest of your life?

It amazes me what statistics you have chosen to put out there! Have you done all your research, or are you simply taking this article that has the information worded the way you want it.

Here are some other stats done on a report completed by the FDA. Of the 149 people followed only 4 had it removed and 1 had a revision in the first year following the procedure. In the second year NONE had it removed and only 4 had a revision. Yes, that came from the FDA!

Maria, It's not clear to me if you still have your lap band or not. I am just past the one year mark, have lost 70lbs, and hope to lose at last 25 more. Soooo, so far so good. I hope I avoid complications.

I still have the band. Hoping to revise.

Glad you are doing well. I hope you avoid complications as well.

Good luck!

You know what, I think you two are right. I am just gonna let it be, and not let it get to me. It does bother me when people do this kind of stuff. It absolutely annoys me, when stats are reported and you have no idea who was studied and what health issues they had prior and why the band was removed, most of the time it has nothing to do with  the bad at all...

Okay, I am done!

Why don't you trot out that proof that 'most of the time' it's has nothing to do with the band?  Or are you just throwing info out there hoping nobody will notice you just made it up?

Science proves you wrong on this one.
