For you NEW KIDS, HERE ARE THE RULES
THE RULES: "B*TCHFest"  is provided as a public service to those of us who have gripes and grievances but who (whom?), for whatever reason, lack a regular forum in which to air them. You are welcome to voice any problems - large or small, important, mundane or ridiculous -  that currently have your panties wadded, your shorts frosted and your gears ground. Don't hold them in and risk future medical issues, wrinkles and/or those pesky gray hairs.

ANY and ALL issues that are plaguing you are open for you to voice; there are no "sacred cows." They say that "feelings aren't facts", so if you're feeling it, it's legit to you. NO ONE is allowed to flame a poster for something he or she writes, however commiseration is not only welcomed but encouraged. Please, no personal attacks against other OH members (at least, not by name) and
 ABSOLUTELY NO SURGERY WARS

I'll start you off with a few gripes of mine, and you all can join in at any time! No limits - come back as many times as you like!

Okay, here we go!

- the state of the English language. It's one thing when people use casual language on a one-to-one, friendly basis. But when I hear or read things in the press which contain incorrect and/or horrendous grammar, it just makes me twitch. Folks, it's "unCHARTED", not "unchartered" territory. "Hallowed", not "hollowed" ground. "Each worse than the next" - the next hasn't HAPPENED yet, so the phrase is "each worse than the LAST." "Irregardless" and "orientate" are not words.

- I have about a dozen pairs of sweatpants. So why can I not find ONE pair when I need to get dressed for the gym? Danged laundry fairy needs to get her lazy ass down to the washer and do a load or two.

- The media's obsession with Charlie Sheen: yeesh! I love a good train wreck as much as the next girl, but there ARE other things going on in the world. I ASSUME that there are, since I would never hear about them on the news!

- My doggies: just HUSH!

- now that the snow has all melted, I get to see all the turds from all the dogs whose owners let them crap on our lawn. Ewwww!

- annoyance du jour: importing a new CD into my iPod and discovering that the ONE TRACK I really wanted skips!

Aw, that's enough for now. I've worked myself into a dither. YOUR TURN!

Lets see tomorrow is my sons 16Th birthday and of course it has to be something special so going to get him the new IPOD that is out 300 freakin dollars for this stupid thing *sigh*.
he has been wanting one forever but I just dont see the sense in spending that kind of money  to listen to songs turn on the freakin radio and listen to music that way that is what I did when I was a kid lol . My mom didn't go out and spend 300 dollars for me to listen to music .

But because its his 16Th I will go out and get it for him and getting him a 50 dollar I tunes card I guess you can download music from that place.  see how well I am with the times lmao.

And support group meetings which can be very helpful but I'm getting tired of  how I'm being treated there.  Everybody has max fills over there losing their 1-2 pounds per week or some not losing at all because they eat to much or the wrong foods.

I get blasted because I have no fills and I'm losing just as much weight as them.  Even the dang nurse said well you dont have restriction so and because you can eat bread then you are not using the lap band properly . You shouldn't be able to eat bread *sigh*.

Okay who cares what I eat , or what is in my band .  As long as I am losing weight what difference does it make.  This is driving my NUT crazy and the one nurse that fills in for my doc when he isn't there.

My doc thinks I'm doing great though .

but the problem is now since last Monday's support group meeting I am second guessing myself on everything now .  Am I doing the band wrong, am I not suppose to eat bread ? Am I not suppose to eat like  a human being without throwing up or being stuck all the time ?

This has upset me all week over this situation making me second guess myself , and now not sure if I want to go back to support group meetings or not.

I feel like I'm the oddball because all these people cant eat this or that , and here I am I can eat anything and still go 3-5 hrs without physical hunger and I get yelled at :o(

But I am made to feel guilty because I dont have no fills and I can eat this or that . I never felt so guilty in my life last Monday and I didnt do nothing  but tell them how much I have lost and how much fluid we have in our bands everybody is suppose to do that .

Now, I feel like I have to get a fill because of what everybody is saying :o(

And my damn campsite is under 5 foot of water . I went up there yesterday my building has 2 foot of water in it , I lost my satellite dish , and its pouring the rain down now and suppose to get heavy rains once again today with storms.

I'm really starting to hate rain and I have to go out today and pick up that stupid IPOD lol

My first reaction on reading this would be for you to tell her to STFU, but perhaps there is a more gentle way of reacting. Does she have a band? If not, she needs to STFU. As long as you're losing, it's no one's business how much or how little fill you have. Clearly, YOU are working that thing right.

As for the iPod, I'm with your son on this one. Since I got mine, I never listen to the radio, EVER. I hate the commercials, I hate the DJs, I hate that they play the same 10 songs they've been playing for last 10 years. Bleck. With the iPod, I get to listen to WBETTE, my favorite radio station! All MY favorite songs, all the time!

Rubbish! Or as you might say- garbage!

I have excellent restricition. If I start with dense protein I can eat about 3/4 a cup of food and I don't get real hunger for 3 or 4 hours.

But I can and alwyas have been able to eat bread! Need to be careful but I can do it.

You are doing great, you have learned how to make the band work for you and you have taken control of your eating and being successful at losing weight.  That is what we all want, what we all strive for.  Dont let anyone tell you that you are doing this wrong, you are losing weight, being accountable for what you eat and exercising, you are doing great.  Dont let any ones opinions make you do something you do feel is necessary, you are losing the weight without the fill, what could you be doing wrong?  We all do things differently, this is how you do it and you are successful at it.  I say keep doing what your doing because your doing it right!

I agree with Bette about the ipod, I love mine!  When I have to go on long road trips I hate fumbling around with cd's or trying to find a station that works and I like.  I just plug in my ipod and I'm good    I'm sorry about your campsite though, that sucks.  Are you going to have to worry about mold damage from them being underwater?  Does this happen every year or just this one?  I'm really sorry.  We are in line to get those storms tomorrow morning - afternoon.  I'm grateful for the rain (it is filling up my rain barrels) but some places have just been hammered and need a break.

Oh I love that Bette I am going to print that out and going to use it on hubby also when he gets annoying

Thanks Turtle I really appreciate it , gosh I just have never been so stressed in my life this week about all this and its playing on my weight loss also this week .

Time to get back to my own habits and not worry about what others think of what I should or shouldnt be doing

Thanks Ladies that helped alot today

We always pull our camper out every fall just because of this. It hasnt flooded where we are at in a few yrs.

but we just spent quite a bit of money of laying really beautiful bricks down for our outside fire pit so that is probably all ruined now :o( .

Gosh we have had so much rain in the last two weeks its been crazy.   Makes you want to eat to lmao Rain is bad on trying to lose weight makes you want to eat them bad foods lol.

I have some pictures of our campsite I just dont know how to post them up so you can see our site
