I did it!
Well, all the preop visits and nerves are in the past. I had my surgery on Monday and did really well. It was a little rough initally after surgery, but the nurses were great. They were quick to jump on my pain and I had an excellent night in the hospital. I was released yesterday and so far so good. I might try sleeping in the reclincer tonight to see if that helps any. I am really sore and have had occasional boughts of nausea. Other than that, I'm doing well. I have been walking as much as I can tolerate. Thanks for all the well wishes before hand. It was great reading everyone's experiences.
Congrats on your surgery! Hope you heal quickly. Did the doc give you anything for the nausea? I had a prescription, Phenergan ( I think) that helped. You really want to avoid throwing up right now. Best wishes for your weight loss journey.

congrats on your surgery :o)
I slept in the lazy boy chair also for the first 72 hrs it was just more comfortable. I could not get comfortable in the bed. Im a tummy sleeper anyways and I would end up trying to get on my stomach it just wasnt worth the fight lol.
If you have fur babies that like to lay on top of you which mine does when Im in the chair make sure you put a pillow down .
My one dog that weighs 35 pounds thinks its a lapdog and sleeps on my belly and legs and does the big doggie flopdown the pillow really really helps for the doggie flopdown lol.
Good luck to you !!!

Congrats!! I'm glad it's over for you and you can now start your journey. Remember to do exactly as your dr has said. Keep sipping your liquids and get your shakes in as best you can. I had a little difficulty getting the fluids in cause it takes forever to get thru a glass with only sips but it will get better with time. I'm happy for you.
