Thank God it went down finally after I sat and drooled like a dog with rabies for 20  minutes.
What are some of your worst foods that get stuck on you.?

Thanks Kate. Its funny I hear so many people say they get stuck on bread.  I haven't had a problem with bread although I avoid it most of the time.

Hi, I can actually eat everything! I just have to take a bit more care with some things (like bananas and raspberries!). I can quite see how a tomato skin might cause problems!

Someone once posted to say her nut had told her if she could eat bread she needed a fill! That woudl be much too tight for me!

Momma,

There is nothing I cant eat , but like Kate I keep my band on the loose side also so these problems dont happen to me Im not scared to eat out, or anything cause my band is on the loose side.

Kate, that was my NUT that told me that me that .  There is very very few that  can eat bread and she just thinks that is a sin *sigh*  I told her I didnt want to be like everybody else where they are tight and cant eat things like that .

Eating bread isnt what got me fat , what got me fat was overeating and no****ching portions and I tell her that everytime lol.  Doc agrees and that is the only person have to please through this process so I just let things go in one ear and out the other with my NUT sometimes.

Why are you awake? Isn't it the middle of your night??

I have never, in almsot 5 years, allowed myself to be so tight i cannot eat bread etc.,  although i might have to do so very carefully.

I am well aware that not everyone keeps their bands long term and i do everything I can to make it more likely I will keep mine!

I understand your thoughts on this Kate, but it was my surgeon that wanted to give me a fill because I could still eat a little bit of bread.  He wasn't my original surgeon, but he is the one that fixed my slip, so I trust him.  He is very careful with fills and my progress.

Melly,

My NUT and one of the nurses that fill in for my doc with fills feel the same way .  They both think if  you can eat bread then you dont have enough saline in you and to me I think that is just plain silly .

Sometimes I think my NUT forgets the purpose of the band .

Melly, we must all do what feels right for us (and our docs!).

For me, that is being able to eat everything! I know others hold different views.
