I posted a few days ago about my water retention problem. I went to the pcp dr and got weighted in on his scale after being there a week ago . Everything went down hill fast.
i GAINED 11lbs in a week. He said that was impossible. Isaid with or without the band i couldn't eat that much. I didn't over eat, drank my water and I exercised i promise. I won't lie to you guys.
He took me off one of my bp meds with a dieutic and i feel swollen. He said the meds i was on wouldn't cause that. He said he wants me to go for a sonogram if i gain any more weight. I broke down amd said do you know what I have to do to lose that 11 lbs. I felt defeated. He gave me a laxative cause I told hiim i wan't as regular as I have been. Soooooooooooooooooooo i decided to go to  hell with everything. I have not gone back to my old ways even through  crap at home or work but if i was going to gain 11 i was going to enjoy it. Pulled into Micky dees and ordered  fries and shoveled a bunch of them in my mouth. They were disgusting. And of course I got stuck. Came home and gave them to hubby and proceeded to the bathroom to get rid of them. For an hour i was in pain, wasn't worth it but i am so depressed.
Just needed to vent. I do not need any kicks in the ass did it to myself. Please do not yell at me I know what i did wrong and I can't handle it today.

Why did he take you off of your BP meds? And did he discontinue the meds before or after your weight gain. A fast gain like that is usually water retention, but that's just a personal opinion. Your diuretic should resolve any retention issues. But don't give up. I think this weight gain has something to do with something other that caloric intake.

He took me off last week because my pressure went too low.
He said the deruetic had nothing to do with it.
(i don't buy it0

(((HUGS)))  Sounds like a rough day . You have owned up to the fry incident so do not beat yourself up over it. I bet alot of the wt gain is water too .  I would ask for a diuretic if you still feel swollen in a few days and after taking the laxative. Hang in there !!!!

I agree with BASIMAH02.  If you had eaten enough to gain 11lbs in one week, you would know about it! It would have been non-stop eating! And even then, it is unlikely!

Have you, without realising, increased sodium intake?

No and  know it because I cook my meals and don't add salt and read labels.

Wendy...if you have your blood pressure meds, why not take them for a couple of days and see if you lose the 11 lbs?

Edited to add:  Did he take your BP?  How was it?

So did they take your B/P?  And did he put you on a dieuretic?
11 pounds is a lot!  Before the band I could easily gain 5-6 pounds in fluid in a week.

Are your fingers still swollen, did he see your swelling?

Are you urinating as much as you did prior to stopping the med?
