Surgery Tommorow
Revision on 08/21/12
It is normal to be nervous or even paniced. I wasn't very nervous because I was really geeked about having surgery, but most find themselves with a good case of jitters and second thoughts. Don't freak out about feeling this way, I was the odd one.
Take your pillow for the ride home, have your prescriptions for pain meds and nausea meds filled ahead of time, and wear something that is either looser than normal or has a draw string waist since you will be bloated. walk walk, walk, and sip, sip, sip. Don't flip out if you have gained weight from surgery because that is just the fluids they give you. It will go away.
Good luck, and come on over to the loser's bench when you are ready. Keep us posted. Sue

good luck you will be just fine its a fast and easy surgery :o) I had mine at 1 pm home by 7 pm that night and I had very little pain from this surgery. It was more from my upper stomach and it just felt like I did a million sit ups other then that walk walk and walk. Walk even if you are tired of walking .
If you have fur babies which I do they love to sleep on me when I'm sitting in the lazy boy chair so make sure you put a pillow down because when they do the doggie flop it helps to have that pillow there lol.
Follow your post op instructions to the T no matter what we all did on here at the same time you need to listen to your doc :o)
Take things slow the first 6 weeks you are healing and you might even gain weight during that time . I gained six pounds but it all came back off . It was my body getting use to solids again so dont panic if that happens.
Just remember this band is a tool only . It will be up to you to make the right choices of food, it will be up to you to exercise the band dont make you do them things .
You will be just fine no worries :o) Good luck and we got a spot for you on the losers bench
