Fat tuesday
Revision on 08/21/12
It isn't easy by any means, but you can do it. You will be glad you did. Each time we walk away from the temptations is a success episode. The more you rack up the further along on replacing old habits you will be. This will increase your ability to avoid regain later on. New habits are very difficult to establish but you had this surgery for a reason.
Good luck, Sue

Same thing here but I am not interested. I'm not even tempted. Maybe I will be later on in the day but for now I am happy knowing I just don't want any.
Sometimes it helps when I look up how many calories something is...in a lot of cases it's a lot more than I thought. Like a plain bagel with plain cream cheese was something like 400 calories and 50 carbs. I was shocked...I can't eat bagels anyway but it made me feel better knowing what I was missing

There will be many more occasions like this to come and the best strategy is to be prepared. Bring healthy snacks to work with you (if you do snack) and the "no-nos" will be much less appealing. This is truely a case of head hunger and something we have to manage moment to moment. Tell your co-workers who encourage you to eat that cr*p that you are allergic to fat and carbs, lol and are trying to eat healthier. If they don't get it, too bad for them.
