Every Dr. is different when it comes to WLS but mine told me to get 100% Whey.

Whey and protein isolate are not incompatible.
For example: go to www.bariatricadvantage.com and click on products, then nectar. It states it's made of "whey protein isolate".
Just when you're buying your protein, check the ingredients and make sure it's 1) whey and 2) isolate and not concentrate.
(you don't have to buy the nectar.. it's just what came to mind to illustrate..it's one that I knew was the "right stuff" :::smile::::)
And you can always call your doc's office for clarification.
Congrats on your date.

My dieititian made sure we use the whey protien isolate. I get mine at the Vitamin Shoppe. The brand that my bariatric center suggested as very palatable was Jay Robb. I have been using that and it is very good. I like the chocolate the best mixed with my milk portion. You would never know that it is a protein shake.
