Good Morning Everyone!

I am one day out of surgery, and not feeling too bad. Im tired and sore, i have had some serious (but short) bouts of gas pain in weird places. I have 5 incisions, they all look good. I had only water and sugar free popsycles (YUMMY!!!). I was able to take my pain pills cut in half. I had a difficult sleep. partly because I slept alot of the day yesteday. but mostly because I could not get comfy in bed. My neck is really sore.
My surgery was great, i was totally out of it for the day because of the drugs. a feeling I did not like because of lack of control. but thats me.... and my issues.
I am feeling 60-65% better. I can move fairly easily, the tape over my incisions was bugging me so I took them off and thatreally helped.
I have that feeling  of tightness all over my chest, which worsens with every sip. But its tolerable.
THE BEST PART!!!!\
I AM NOT HUNGRY!!! i havent eaten any real food since Monday at lunch... veggies at that! i am drinking an iced cappacino, which I likely should not be doing but i had a really bad caffiene withdrawl  headache from not having any diet coke since Saturday.

I am most grateful for my time spent here reading all about the experiences you all shared. It made my personal exprience so much better.

I will ultimately be grateful to my band for allowing me to lose weight smoothly which I know I will do... and for the ability to quit drinking diet coke.

I will keep you posted!

Again thanks everyone...

yeah you !!!! I was thinking about you yesterday and was wondering how you was doing glad to see you are doign so well !!!!!

For sleeping if you have a lazy boy chair try sleeping in that for a few days :o)  The first three days that is what I did becaue I could not get comfortable on the bed and plus Im a big time tummy sleeper lol.

If you have fur friends though which I do they love to sleep wth me on the recliner so if you do have pets make sure you put a pillow over your tummy so when they do the doggie flop down they dont hurt you :o)

WTG very proud of you !!!!

Great news!  You are now on the road to a new you!  I was banded almost 2 weeks ago and feel really good.  Went back to work today and although a little tired, am doing great.  All of what you're feeling sounds exactly like what I went through.  The gas actually dissapates into your tissues and doesn't exit in the usual fashion, if you know what I mean. lol.  I'm on pureed food now and am not having any difficulty.  After the first night or two you'll be able to sleep on your side which may be more comfortable.  Watch the tylenol #3's because they cause wicked constipation and you don't need that right now.  Good luck.  Keep us posted.  Karol

Congratulations! I was also banded yesterday. I am pretty sore, but I will get through it! I don't have the desire to eat either. Good luck in your journey~
