I'm banded!

Yesterday was my big day...I am now banded! I had to spend the night at the hospital, it was a late surgery.

Right now, I am tired, my stomach is pain, my throat is in pain, my eye site is a little blurred, and pretty emotional. What kind of problems did you all have preop?

Do you mean post op?
I was just very sore in all my stomach muscles. No other problems. I always slept on my side, that was out of the question. Port area way to sore for that. I had to sleep flat on my back.

Yes, I meant postop. My stomach feelslike I did about 1000 crunches! My eye site is really botherin me...I am hoping this is a side effect from all the pain meds?

The first few days when I would lay in bed, my husband would have to pull me up I couldn't dare use my stomach muscles. Did you just start with the blurred vision after the meds or after the anesthesia? Mine was a little cloudy, but it didn't last long. If you are real worried and someone else doesn't chime in maybe ask your doctor

I had the same stomach pain, it gets easier every day. I also had the sore throat too, which lasted a couple of days. The sore throat at least made me want to drink more water. I am one week out today and still have stomach pain and back pain. I recommend taking your pain medicine even if you think your okay, it makes it much easier. Good luck
