It is only considered a 'clear liquid' if you can see through it.
I was only on clear liquids for 3 days -- then got moved to 'full liquids' which by my doctor's orders, was anything I could have sucked through a straw (thinned grits, thinned puddings, cream soups, etc).
To help with the boredom, I added some picante sauce 'juice' to my soups to spice them up a bit.

Thank you all for the replies. Today is my last day on clear liquids and I'm VERY excited. Not so much because I can eat more, but because I get some variety. My surgeon doesn't allow skim milk on clear liquids, so I was very limited.
Beginning tomorrow, I can have protein shakes and I'm very excited about that. Sounds silly, but I am.
So glad to have you all with me on the journey.
