I just want to swallow the damn pill..do I have to cru****

My surgery date was 12-14-2010
I am tired of crushing pills. I'm so frustrated  with the awful taste of the crushed pill the liquid form is also disgusting..
I'm thinking  to stop taking the damn pills all together. SO my question is , can I swallow  a pill ? or do I have to crush them my whole entire life?? I'm afraid of trying to swallow them and then choking on the pills. they're oval shaped pills (medium size) and YES I tried crushing them and taking it with bananas,applesauce even jello.

I have never crushed pills, I always swallow and have never had a problem just drink lots when you take it.

I am another person that just swallows pills.  I don't crush them.  I have had no problems.  I have even swallowed those huge anti-biotic pills...with no problems

I crushed pills in the beginning.  Then one day I decided what the hell.  I know the consequences and what I will have to do if it gets stuck.  Do I want to take the chance.  The answer was yes.  So I swallowed the dang thing and nothing happened.  I do know there is always a chance of eventually one getting stuck, but I will take the chance and work through it when it happens. 

I would double check with your doctor because there may be a reason to crush the pills rather than swallowing them that are unrelated to getting stuck but rather absorption.  I do agree though that it tastes yucky.  A good trick I found was to mix it with low fat chocolate milk and you can't taste it at all.  congratulations on your fabulous success so far though.

I just cut my pills in half if they are large (fexofenadine).  Small pills don't cause a problem.  Gel capsules can be emptied into some yogurt and taken that way.  I was taking about 9 pills per day, I now only take two, one for allergies and a lower dose pill for hbp.

I'm laughing with you!!  I know I use to cut my vitamin in half cause it was so big and I was scared.  But that made it jagged and hurt going down.  One day I said the heck with it too and discovered I had no problem.  What a relief!   Now I take a few at a time like I always did and no problem.   Some meds are not meant to be cut in half or crushed so folks do need to ask before doing that.
