So I had surgery 6 days ago and got the band, I have lost about 12 pounds since before liquid diet and surgery. I am SO cold though. It is cold outside, but I am usually pretty warm and cant handle much for covers and layers of clothes without overheating. But now I am so cold I am wearing layers, sleeping under a blanket and a down comforter, and taking hot showers to warm up because I get so freezing cold..I have no fever, or infections on my incisions... Has anyone else had this?? I have heard about being cold after you loose more weight, but not so soon after surgery.
Thanks!

OMG me too!!  I've been in hot flashes for almost 10 years and now in a week and a half am freezing to death.  This is crazy.  It is actually keeping me from sleeping well.  Pyjamas, three blankets and snuggled up to my husband.  He thinks they removed my thermometer and put in a dodgy one!  Glad to know I'm not the only one.

The body does strange things when it's been through a trauma and is healing.  I think this is normal.  I was freezing after my surgery but now, 6 weeks later, I am back to normal and HOT HOT HOT...in the mornings.

I have always been the type of person who doesn't wear a coat in the winter and keeps the air conditioning on during the winter too.  Since my surgery last month, I have been freezing!  I feel like a popsicle and I walk around with blankets wrapped around me.

Peace & Love, Tricia

I know how you feel. I am almost a year post op and I am most of the time cold, my hands and feet. Like one of the guys told me at work, you don't have all that meat keeping you warm. LOL.  Good luck, stay Strong and stay warm. LOL

I had my surgery in December and I was cold from the minute I woke up and it hasn't changed.  I am cold at home, at work, in the car, everywhere.  Before the surgery I was baking alive, now I feel like an icicle.  I don't quite understand what my stomach has to do with my temperature gauge, but I always new there was something screwy with my wiring.

My mom has been yelling at me for turning on the fireplace! I'm usually cold, but I've been extremely cold since my surgery. I didn't think anyone else felt like this!

6 weeks post-op here and still freezing my tush off! Seems to be a pretty common reaction from what I'm seeing here, and I sure don't miss the night sweats!

But man, my layer of warmth is disappearing with every flush!
