Like some of the others have said, no one decides what you will lose but you.  Just so you know, you aren't the only one who wonders this....below is a link to a recent thread on this very topic.  Good luck with your journey!

I lost 120 lbs in a year so it's absolutely possible. And, it's LOSE not LOOSE. My personal mission in life to correct that.

I am 52 years old ------ started at 284 pounds and am at 154-ish (plus or minus 2 pounds).

I lost the first 100 pounds by my 1 year 'bandiversary' and then 30 more pounds in the following 6 months.

I am 5' 6 --- and 155 is my Weigh****chers goal.  I would like to lose another 8 - 10 pounds -- but we will see if that happens.

Absolutely!  I lost my first 100lbs in about 8 mos and the rest in the last 2 years!  I have another 50lbs to go and I am happy to say, I owe it all to my LapBand!

I started at 325 and lost 100 pounds by 10 months post op, the more you weigh the quicker you will lose weight IF YOU WORK YOUR BAND, WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT AUTOMATIC WITH THE BAND, I lost overall 130 pounds by my 2nd year post op and I am 5'8, and losing 130 pounds was perfect for me,  and still maintaining most of that going on 6 years post op. I love my band, no complications thus far. Good luck

I have lost 195 lbs.I also weighed 320 lbs to start and I am 5' 2".I am almost 2 and a half years out.I lost 35 before surgery and about another 100 the first year and slowly the rest the 7 months after that and am now maintaining. You can definatly do it if you are determined and work hard. You will get different opinions from different people but every one is different in what they like and what works for them.I wish you lots of luck on your journey.

ANYTHING is possible! I started my journey at well over 450 pounds, will be 3 years this next week and I have lost over 250 pounds. BMI went down 40 points from a 71 to a 31. I went from a size 32 to a 12. Use this tool and the possibilities are endless. Best of luck on your journey!
