Andrew,

Thank you so much for sharing this.

While I'm not at the point of doing any kind of marathon, you give me hope that maybe one day I can run a whole 5K. I'm a bit older than you (53)and have knees that hurt, so running a 5K is a big dream for me.  I walked one last fall.. was the next to the last to come in.. ROFL.

For the record, I do workout a LOT.. yoga/pilates, rpm (aka spin), body pump, step, zumba and am currently doing a "biggest loser" bootcamp at my gym (don't expect to win the prize.. but what the heck, might as well give it a whirl  ::grin::  Nothing ventured, nothing lost).  I know about the couch to 5K program.. just haven't done it yet.  I know I should.

Banded in 3/09.. am currently bouncing between 196 & 198 lbs, but folks tell me I look less because of muscle toning.  Bought a size 16 jeans last night.  About a month or so ago, I was buying 18's. woohoo!!  No band problems that haven't been user caused ... too big of a bite or such.

Again, thanks.
Lisa
