got the liquid diet blues
jello water broth skim milk juice mixed with water...jello, water, broth, skim milk, juice mixed with water protein shake...jello ,water , broth, skim milk, juice mixed with water protein shake... so excited about my daily choices of what to eat..1 week post op... NOT!!! and feeling a little down , another week to go of jello, water, broth, skim milk, juice mixed with water,protein shake..
I am with you...I start my two weeks tomorrow and I am sooo, not looking forward to it...BUT, I know it will all be worth it! I had a 3 day trial run last week (surgery date got pushed back a week) and it wasn't fun! But, this weekend my husband helped me perfect my protein shakes, added a dash of almond axtract to my vanilla protein shake and was it ever awesome :) Hang in there, you can do it!

I agree it sucks. Being 5 days post op, I'm kinda sick of liquids too, but I will say it's made my daily "hmm, what should I eat for lunch, dinner etc" fiasco a lot less stressful and I don't have any daily guilt about what I've put in my mouth that day. This will all be worth it in the end, just remember that, and keep your soon to be thin chin up!
I'm 4 days post op, and I feel you. What's helping me is remembering how fat and unhealthy all my other varieties of food had me! It's not going to be forever; don't make a permanent decision (eating what you shouldn't) over a temporary situation (liquid post op). It gets greater later, it will all be worth it! Add a sugar free popsicle into the mix
