when I do and don't follow the rules

I did this for myself to remind myself why following the rules is a good thing and thought I'd share:

When I don't follow the rules and snack all day or eat too many slider foods
- I feel yucky the next day
- I don't sleep as well
- My negative self-talk gets really loud
- My energy level drops
- I'm never satisfied with anything that I eat and I start obsessing about food, which results in me feeling like I can't focus on anything

When I do follow the rules and eat good dense proteins and healthy food choices
- I feel positive about myself
- I have a lot more postive energy
- I sleep really, really well (sometimes I make it almost all the way through the night)
- My clothes fit better, even if the scale is the same

So what about you?  What happens when you follow the rules or don't follow them?

When I follow the band rules:
I have more energy because I am not overeating the to point of distress.
I exercise due to having more energy and happy to move and challenge my body.
I LOOK DAMN GOOD!
I plan what I eat and drink in a healthy and satisfying manner.

When I don't follow band rules:
I feel like crap because I ate like crap (found out the hard way there is no benefit in eating Crunch and Munch and potato chips, not even in a "portion control" way).
I lay around thinking about exercising instead of doing it.
I don't take as much care in how I look.
I start eyeballing pop and milkshakes for fluid intake instead of water and try to fool myself into thinking fast food sliders (White Castles) have some great nutritional value when I know the bread is going to cause a stuck episode 'cause it does every time.

Please tell me more about what you consider to be the rules. I've not heard it discussed on OH before. My surgeon has four very important rules and some extra tips on how to eat that seem unique.
