Hi everyone!  About a month ago I posted asking if anyone had participated in the 3 day/60 mile walk for a cure, the Susan G. Kormen breast cancer walk, and I received one very positive reply. I have been thinking about doing this for almost a year ... right up until I couldn't think of a reason why I shouldn't challenge myself for this wonderful cause. So far, I  have lost enough weigh that walking is actually enjoyable even with two total knee replacements! If you would like to help me in my journey and read why I walk, please check out my page. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and wishing all of you continued happiness on your weigh loss journey :)

Hello, Hello!  YES, YES, YES, I have been doing the Susan G Komen 3-Day for 8 years now......all but two years I walked it.  It's an amazing journey, one which not only benefits the financial needs necessary to find a cure for breast cancer, but also benefits you in such a positive way - emotionally and physically.  I can see you signed up - congrats.  That is a huge step.  Please please check out the training area of the web page - it offers a 24 week training program that if you work it -- you will make the 60 miles.  If you don't hit all 60 miles, there are always plenty of people to help you (sweep vans, etc.)  It's initially about raising money for a cure, but it's also a great motivator for your ongoing health.  I too am particpating this year.....again.  Our team is in the process of changing our name -- from TaTa Brigade to something with a little more flare......Good Luck -- please if you are interested "friend" me on here and we can keep eachother motivated.  Take care and God Bless you in your journey!
