Those of you that have lost a lot of excess weight you might have some sagging...

Oh Hell after being 350+ lbs and now losing 130+ lbs my boobs look like hell...in clothes and without clothes.  They are droopy and saggy.  I am a 39 year old women with the boob of a 89 year old.  They look like cow utters or flap jacks...well you get the point.

My bras just didn't support me or lift my boobs back where they belong.  I found a bra that makes me look perky again.  I am shocked.  I went to JCPenneys and got fitted.  I told the lady what my wants and needs were.  She showed me a few bras and I settled on Ambrielle Woman Shaping Balconet Bra–Defy Gravity.  They are a little pricey (if you are used to going to Walmart and paying $13 like me) but it is so worth the money.

This is my new favorite brand.  By the way thanks to Jean for the advice and tips.

Do they do fittings at all Pennys, or is there a specific one in this area. My Best Friend is literally FOREVER trying to find a good bra. One that will wrangle her large size...she just bought a new one in size G, but says that her boobs are making those bumps at the top. Everyone knows those bumps.

Every JC Penney store is required to have a certain number of bra fit specialists - how many depends on the size of the store - so that whenever the store is open, at least one bra fitter is available. It's best to call in advance to make an appointment, though, because that way you'll be sure to work with a fitter who's dedicated to the lingerie department and very familiar with the inventory.

Also, your friend will get the best results if she allows the fitter to come into the fitting room to see how each bra fits. I know some women are more modest (or more embarrassed about their body) than others, but it's very hard to help someone who can't describe what's going on with a particular bra, and a visual "inspection" can tell the fitter a lot.

Other department stores, like Nordstrom and Dillard's, also do bra fitting. I wouldn't go to Victoria's Secret because so many customers have told me how unhappy they were with their experience at VS.

If not, you might be able to order them.  Usually you can return orders to local stores if they don't work out.

Jen,

We don't stock 40F at our store, but we're one of the smallest stores in the company. Bigger stores have more space for more inventory - more styles, more sizes, more colors. And if you find a bra at JC Penney that looks like a good possibility, but they don't have it in your size, they can order it for you - you won't pay shipping & handling if it's shipped to the store. When it comes in, you can take it to the nearest fitting room, try it on, and if you're not happy with it, take it back to the catalog desk for a refund - and you won't pay anything to return it.

I'm so glad your JCP bra fit worked out so well!

Ambrielle is my favorite brand of bra too - not cheap, but very well-made, comfortable, and supportive.

One of my coworkers tried on an Ambrielle bra a few days ago (after she punched out). She's very petite, with a boyish figure (no obesity in her past!). When she came out of the fitting room wearing the Ambrielle bra under her polo shirt, she said, "Look! I can't believe this is really me!" and another coworker passing by said, "Dang, look at you! You got yourself a big girl bra!"
