Help!

I have not been here in a while but I need some help/ opinions! I am almost 9 months out from surgery.  I have had 2 fills and my last fill was back in Dec I believe.  Since that fill I have felt really good since I was only able to eat small amounts and everything.  Well the past 2 maybe 3 days I seem to be only about to eat less and less and even drinking (mostly in the morning) feels like it is getting "stuck".  I took a sip of water early this morning and got back in bed and it felt like it just sat there for a long time.  Since waking up for the day I have radiating pain thru my chest and back.  It is not constant and not really bad just uncomfortable.  I also feel like I constantly need to burp.  I have made the decision to get in to see my doctor this week for a small unfill but does anyone think I should take this more seriously and possibly go to the ER?  Thanks for reading!

im not  a doctor and if your really worried go to er.....but to me ive had that feeling....you could be a little swollen and gassy...also allergies give me that symptom....try some gas x strips and a heating pad...and maybe some warm tea.....ive been eating papaya pills after or with my dense protien....seems to help with the gas too...i follow up with doc ,,or at least call and tell them your symptoms

Thank you so much for your response.  I am starting to feel better (still burping).  I looked it up and I think it might be reflux causing it. I think I still have some antacid meds from surgery so I am gonna try taking one of those, I tried the warm peppermint tea which helped some but I was not a fan of the taste! he he  I am gonna call my doctor on Mon (if they are open) and try to get in to see them soon for a small unfill I think being too full is stalling my weight loss.

Hi, This could also be your gall bladder unless of course you dont have one-sounds like a tiny adjustment might do the trick- best of luck

Hey, We had surgery on the same day. I have had 4 fills and I am a little tight , now. I am eating things that I should not have , because the meat just does not want to go down. i have been spitting up , when i eat . Cant tell when I need to stop and just one more bite will cause me to have the hic ups so bad. I am going to the Dr. in 2 wks. I really don't want to get an unfill, but my have to. I am 5 pds . away from goal and it is so slow now. I have lost 90 pds.

Check with your surgeon.  You may need just a little removed, like .2 ccs.  Sometimes just a little is enough to clear up your symptoms.  Also, some medicines, like allergy meds, can make your band tighter (not sure why, but someone mentioned you are more dehydrated and that is why it is important to keep your fluid intake up).  Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

I agree with Carla.  The same thing happened to me.  I was fine for a long time and then all of a sudden I got tight and had acid reflux.  I got some taken out and now I"m fine again.

I can't lay down immediately after eating or drinking anymore...so that also might be something you have to be aware of.

Good luck.

I recently had to get a small unfill even though I had been doing fine previously.  All of the sudden I had reflux at night.  Dr. took out a small bit and it is gone!  I would suggest that you go and see the Dr. as I can't believe what a difference a small unfill made!
