I had my surgery Wednesday and my naval is still extremely painful. Today I feel really gassy and my stomach is growling.  I was just wondering when I should start feeling better,  Thanks

You have a few more days, probably. Not everyone does, but many say anywhere from day 5 to day 14. I felt pretty good around day 7 though not 100%. Just take the pain meds as prescribed if needed, walk a lot, and try a heating pad. This too shall pass, I promise. Welcome to the loser's bench. Sue

It took me 3 weeks to start feeling better and 5 weeks to feel normal again.  I had a slow recovery.  Make sure you take your gas-x for the gas and keep sipping and getting in your protein.
