Hello -
I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a great blender - i normally just make smoothies. Mine worked great but got broken this evening and it is probalby just as cheap to buy a new blender as it is to buy a replacement part!

Thanks!

I have a kitchen aide brand... it was top of the line 10 years ago.... I believe in investing... its never done me wrong...that being said I bought a cheaper 30 blender from Walmart for my kitchen and while its not as strong as my kitchenaide... it is performing well... its nothing special... just so long as it cah chop ice... I am happy! I like ice in my protien shakes... like a thick milkshalke... feels like I am indulging...

We just bought a Vita mix.  It's awesome can make anything from hot soup in 6 min.  and ice cream in less than 30 sec.  They are a bit pricey but I love it.

I have the Ninja set that you can get at Costco or Kohls. While I didn't get the huge blender part, I got the set that has 3 different canisters with their own blade sets so they stay sharp a long time. It is the best blender i have ever owned, its amazing! It has multiple levels of blades so its also an incredible food processor too. The whole set with lids was $45. It is amazing for making smoothies. Good Luck deciding.

I have a Magic Bullet and I love it.  My favorite thing about it is that you mix in the same cup that you drink or eat from.  The cups go in the dishwasher and the microwave.  I love not having to get a blender dirty and then a cup and so on.  I haven't found anything yet that the Magic Bullet couldn't do.

I had been given a used Magic bullet and used it for 3 years with good results.  I used it only for smoothies and mushies,  It does not do a good job with ice.  When it finally died, I replaced it with a Ninja.  The Ninja is stronger, so better with ice, more like a food processor, but  IMHO it is a pain to clean.  I really miss my bullet and am waiting to see it on sale to buy another.  If you are using the blender exclusively for smoothies I think the bullet is a better choice.

I have a Magic Bullet, a Ninja and a Vitamix and the Magic Bullet is my favorite by far.  It is so easy, quick to clean, makes great shakes.  I highly recommend it.
