Does anyone have upper back pain after eating???

For the past two weeks I have been wondering about the backpain I am having in my mid upper bac****ep trying to think it is from my elliptical that I never do and I did for a bit two weeks ago but the pain is more after I eat. I don't have any pb or vomiting or slimming or any signs that would suggest that I am tooo tight. So I guess I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this. Thanks.

Do you still have your gallbladder?

I do...I didn't even think of that. I had pain on my right upper abdomen last year and had an ultrasound and it showed everything was normal with my gallbladder. I do have a script for a hida test. The pain is odd and is mid upper back directly on my back behind where the chest bone is. Idk. Thanks for responding it could be the gallbladder.

I don't want to alarm you, but I had similar back pain off and on for years, even before the band.  Then last year I had 2 episodes of back pain, with slight chest pain, and a sharp pain up my left jaw into my cheek.  My cardiologist did an angiogram and found a major artery 80% blocked.  If it continues, and you notice any other symptoms, you might want to have it checked out.  Better to be safe than sorry. 

Yep just had my gall bladder out and that was one of my main symptoms. That and pain up under my right rib cage. I had a stone almost the size of a tennis ball! Can't say I miss the ol' GB at all!

Thanks for replying. I think that I will get the hida test done. I just didn't like the idea of the dye.

lots of people have referred pain with the gallbladder.  I felt like someone had stuck a fire poker in my right side when I first started having episodes.  Many people have pain between their shoulder blades especially if they have ate something high in fat.

Yes, I've had upper middle back pain as well as pain in the upper part of my abdomen. It was Gallbladder issues. I had mine taken out almost two months ago and I haven't felt the pain since. I had been having these issues years before the WLS but I didn't realize it was my gallbladder and they only got worse. Glad to be rid of it for that reason.
