I haven't been on the site for a really long time but there used to be an Ask Dr. Curry thread here. You could ask him anything and he would answer. I can't seem to find him???
For you new folks if you go to the search bar at the top R of this page and type in Ask Dr. Curry it will take you to a page and you can veiw questions and his answers.... lots of good good info there.

Went ages ago - perhaps a year. One of his patients who comes on OH asked him for us and he said it was just the time it took got too much. But that he was appointing a new member of his bariatric team and would be back. But he never returned!
Great shame! But must have been very time consuming for him.
For those who don't know - he is an exttremely experienced bariatric surgeon who, after putting in 1000s of bands, put one into his own wife and then later, had one put in himself. Good recommendation for the band!

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I am an RN and a lactation consultant. I used to do the same thing as Dr Curry, i'd spend hours on the comp answering new moms questions, providing reassurance, etc. It was bc I cared and was passionate about helping new moms and baby's.
Eventually is just got to be to much and some of the people just got very greedy for me and my time. So I stopped doing it. I still feel bad but seriously a lot of the info I provided they could have got from doing a google search.
Thanks to Dr Curry for all of the help he did give over the years.

I still snoop around from time to time! Unfortunately I've gotten so busy that I just don't have the time any more...
