Blaming the band?????
I have been living with the band for over a year and a half. I love my band, it has aided me in losing 100 lbs.
I did go through a period of fighting with my band and not doing what I was supposed to do, GUESS WHAT.....chips, sodas, cheesecake, french fries, hamburgers, pizza (oh I could go on and on) are NOT on the program!!! Newbies need to know this. WLS means you have to change the way you eat and think about food FOREVER!
I stalled for six months but not once did I BLAME my band. It was doing what it was designed to do....I wasn't. When I read someone say they have not had much luck with the lapband and then realize they have been eating everything they are not supposed to all I can say is DUH.
I admitted that I did struggle a bit but then got my head out of my azz and went back on my program and I lost weight. Thats the beauty of the lapband...you can start over.
I truly understand that some people have legitimate problems with the band so I am not knocking on those who have given it a shot and the band has failed them (slips, erosion's etc). Its those *****ally have nothing to report as to why they are not losing weight that I have issue with. The only thing that I can do is pray for them because their issues go much more deeper than even any of us or any surgery can fix.

lapband in 2008 at 298lbs , lowest weight was 183lbs , Band almost killed me and removed in 2011. No revison because to much damage for revision.

There are some very CRUEL ppl on this forum! If they have a band that is working for them CURRENTLY they are extremely lucky. They should appriciate what they have and not insult the ones that have bands that don't work! So much for "support" on this forum!!!!!!!!!
