Since my last log in I had .5 cc removed from my band that put me at 7.25.  I was extremely tight throwing everything up even water. From there on since the .5cc removal I was eating non stop and always hungry needless to say I gained 8 pounds in a month....  I just went back yesterday and refilled .5 cc's back up to 7.75 in my band. Im really hoping to find my sweet spot and stay there. I will be 2 years postop on 2/10/11. What can I do to  get back on my loosing path.??? Im so dissapointed. I was doing so well at first, but I expected to be alot less especially being 2 years postop. I seem to be going backwards...... Please help and thanks!!

I find that a tiny fill / unfill makes all the difference. If this turns out to be too much, docs can give or remove as little as 0.1 cc.

How does it feel now? Can you get back to basic band eating rules?

This may be a gross and random question but, what is the color of the fluid when they remove it from the band? have you seen it?

it is clear saline ----- the band is a 'closed system' --- they put sterile saline into the tubing, and when they extract it, it is still clear fluid

The band is filled with Saline.  It's clear going in and clear coming out.

I am surely going to be more aware of what I eat and how I feel with when and what I eat.... Thank u.  I was thinking of maybe going to liquids to try to get loosing again..

I know some people like going on liquids every now and then - if it makes you feel good then do it!  My own view is that I don't want food to become something i have to avoid! So whenever I get off track (and it has happened many times!), i don't go on liquids, just right back to the basic rules. My experience has been that getting right back on track, after a time of being way off it, starts the loss again.

My feeling is that by going on liquids you woudl lose a few pounds quickly but then might stall when you went back to foods.

Buit whatever feels right for you.
