Pam,
I don't know if this is what you have in mind, but if you aren't in a hurry for a certain race date, would it help to just try repeating a week (or even repeat a day or two) or the program until your legs feel ready to move up?  I know it's nice to stay on schedule, but make sure you listen to your body too.  I think when I first started, I had to do week 5 a time(or two...or three)

No, I'm not in a hurry for a race date.  I am just having trouble with Week 1, Day 1.  I am going to have to build up to it I guess.  I don't mind repeating at all.  That was my plan, but doing Week 1, Day 1 two days really wore me out.   I guess I am more out of shape than the couch.....

Thank you for the suggestions

Pam

now is as good as any other day. Get on out there. Spring is on the way!

Well, in some places anyway. Not here obviously. We had snow/sleet last night. It's very chilly here.

Good luck to you runners! I would give it a try if it wasn't in the single digits for highs this week. Maybe I will give it a go when Spring comes. I'll keep up with my 30 day shred DVD and bike and treadmill.

Let us know how it's going for you!

just a suggestion...it worked for my hubby might help u. Get a gator mask (neoprene mask that motorcycle riders wear) it warms the air you're breathing in so it doesn't irritate your bronchioles as much. good luck!

it's warming up a little... on some days. LOL!   I'm not all that hard core that I need the gator. We discussed that if it's snowing/ hail/ sleet/ice  there will be no running. So on nights that I'm not working or running, I'll be in the pool.

my husband is a swimming drill sergeant. Jeez- I didn't know you could sweat while swimming.

I have stopped and started this program so many times. I REALLY want to start it up again... but my knee has been giving me some serious issues... so unfortunately I think I need to find a different way to exercise. :(

Good luck with starting over! I am sure you will do great!!! :)
