What have YOU done to get healthier this past week?

Well, thank you! I will definitely keep it in The Vault!

I have done some pet portraits, but I always get a little on edge because I'm afraid I won't be able to capture the personality of the animal!   I'm roughing out a sketch of my own cat and plan to paint his portrait, though. I have tons of photos but no artwork with his image.

Thanks, Tetrarose!

I have been off track and maintaining my 85 lbs lost since surgery but have not lost since last spring.  I did gain 10 lbs over Christmas so  I decided to get my ass in gear and started with a personal trainer two weeks ago I have lost 17 pounds in two weeks and have started eating very healthy again thanks to my trainers womans surgar diet.  The I am losing about 1lbs a day.  I feel geat and have the ambition to keep losing.

I've been increasing my movement slowly but steadily. I got a Fit Bit pedometer and it has really been motivating me to increase my walking each day. I also did some weights and ab work today. My boyfriend lives in a great neighborhood with walking paths and we have been going on walks together every weekend.

And the more I move, the better I feel!

Hi Lindsey!  Up until last fall, my main activity was just walking and I really miss it in the winter.  I'm in Iowa and the forecast for this week is with highs in the single digits.  We did get to go for a walk yesterday and today and it was heaven to get out.  Our dogs loved it.

I have been doing the "30 day shred" and riding the recumbent bike, and walking on  the treadmill.  I would rather be outdoors, but I hate the cold.

I imagine the weather is a little nicer where you are at than in Iowa.  Enjoy the walking.

Take care,
Kristi

I grew up in Indiana (which is still probably warmer than Iowa!), so I know exactly what you mean.  I am no fan of the cold either!

Yes, we are lucky to have much warmer weather down here in Georgia. Today was a beautiful day and perfect for our walk. We have been dealing with a lot of rain lately, but "cold" down here is when it gets down to the high 40s.

Saw some pictures you posted of your dogs sometime recently, they are beauties!
