Pacemaker?

Has anyone had a pacemaker/icd (defibrillator) and had Lap Band surgery? 

I'm 43 and a PM/ICD implanted due to some severe arrhythmia's but nothing in my "plumbing" wrong just the electrical system.

My insurance will cover the surgery after I go through a "medically supervised" weight loss plan for 6 months, I have to find out what that means exactly =) and get it started.

I really hope I can get this all in order, I tried to have it done 6 years ago and my other insurance denied me even when it was medically necessary.

I'm wondering the same thing---I am hoping to have the duodenal switch procedure later this year and I, too, have a pacemaker....  I have a complete heart block of the av node.  

I'm wondering if anyone out there in weight loss land has a pacemaker and if there were any special precautions they had to take during surgery.
