I am in Vancouver and you are welcome to contact me- I'm not exactly sure how to do the private messaging on this board, but I think that is my techno ineptitude.  I was banded in Feb 2008- after a brief time of results things just stalled.  And I gave up.  Until this past August when I re-started and re-engaged.  So really, I am not that far behind you and I have lost 35 lb now since August.  If I can help- feel free to be in touch.  Best of Luck,
