Today was the day!

 Well, today I had my band surgery. It was quick, and I was in and out in 3 hours.
Right now, I'm experiencing (what I understand to be normal) pain in my shoulders and sides. I've been drinking water only as directed, and I'm very excited.
I have heard a lot of success stories about the band. 

I'm wondering what some people's experiences have been? Good? Bad? Anyone with good pointers? I appreciate all feedback!
