Hungry at night

I had the band on November 2,2010 and lost 34 pounds so far. BUT, I am starting to go back to my old habits- snacking at night. This is really upsetting me, and I have already had a fill. I'm due for another one in a week, but I am afraid that I won't get one because I have only lost 3 pounds since my last fill. I do not feel full and am starting to eat larger portions.Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the night- time munchies a lot. Old habit of mine that I find very hard to break. I started making a bowl of hot cereal at night made with skim milk instead of water (whole grain cream-o-wheat, old fashioned oats -whatever you like) and I put a little Splenda brown sugar in it. Seems to fill me up and is good for me all at once.

if  you are not getting full and able to eat larger portions with only a 3lb loss you definately need a fill...hang in there it's abndster hell right now! it will get better....try snacking on something high in protein....good luck!

Sounds to me like you defintitely need a fill!

But i get the evenign mnchies!

Keep busy! Have a bath! Drink loads of no-cal fluids.

I often have a smooth yoghourt mid-evening. Anythign more solid and i will get heartburn when i lie down but a smooth yog tastes good, stops any genuine hunger and doesn't keep me awake.

My new favorite cure for the evening munchies is what I call my Butterfinger protein shake

1/2 of a banana
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1-2 scoops of vanilla or chocolate protein powder
6 oz vanilla coconut milk
6-8 ice cubes

I love it!

OMG this sounds so delicious, plus your protein powder.  I just got my band and am off clear liquids but still on "up a straw" foods.  I "regot" my nightime munchies for the first time last night.  I could have cried.  It's one of the main things that got me in this position, and didn't rear it's ugly head for a while.  I will try this!

umm, sorry if this is innapropriate and totally off topic, but it made me giggle (yes, i'm like a 12 year old) when i just noticed my previous post and why they put ********* in place of where i wrote about the temperature and the pot of water. yes, i know.. i'm a child.. just struck me as funny b/c i tried to figure out why it was blocked. anyway...........
