two years out and still rocking my band.

I've had my up's down, I've cussed out my band and I've got more frustrated than a sane person should, but at the end of the day- this band is saving my life. I LOVE IT!!!  I love how it's allowed me to find myself again. It's given me back a freedom I thought was lost and gone forever.

I love my band too. Never had any problems, I've had a few slight un-fills do to being too tight, that's it.(over 2 years banded)
I was at my Dr's today and he stated that the band is the only surgery that has "real" after care, and that the surgery is probably the easiest part of any WL surgery, the hard part is after you've had it, head hunger, exercising, etc. He does all 3 WL surgeries so he is not one sided.
Thanks for posting Kate!

Pollyanna Club...count me in. I am ready to celebrate my band. There is no way that I would be down 93 lbs if it were not for my band.

I am in.  I have not done as well as others, but I still love my band.  I could hardly lose any weight before my band. It could take months to lose 5 lbs and seemed like a week to put it back on. With my band I am down 40 lbs and keeping that off.  My restriction is great when comes to eating my meals.  I know if I ever get this head hunger under control and stop my snacking and exercise more I can lose.  I love the fact that you can always 'start over' with the band. I have had 3 fills and one small unfill.  If I had to make the decision again, I would still choose the band.

I love my band, too! It has given me a new freedom, a new self respect, and a fighting chance of keeping my weight off for life. I couldn't say that before. I may fail, but it will be my responsibility. I have cussed my band, fought with it and gotten a real pain in my *** at times but through it all I have this feeling of wonder at what is out there for me.

Now, be real, Kate, I've got to fight sometimes, otherwise I'd get bored. I promise I be good most of the time, though.
