How Big was your SCARS ???
The one inside my belly button is shape like an H in a way. But because it is inside the belly button you really won't be able to see it.
The one on my side is maybe an half an inch.
The top one just under my breast in the middle is not even a inch long.
I am 3 weeks post op as of today!
Good luck on your research.

1 in my belly button, not visible, 4 that are 1/4 inch and lt. pink, fading rapidly, and 1 that is about 1 1/4 inches, and very light. I have normally super pale skin so any scars on me will be obvious for a long time but at just under 8 months out mine are visible, but not glaring. The biggest thing is the "dent" where my port is. My bikini days are long over anyway, but if I planned to wear one (think very unpleasant sight here) I would not let them keep me back. I have age spots worse than these, lol! Scarring is the least of your worries when you make the decision for wls.
I also have a big ole hysterectomy scar, so I look like Frankenstein's monster in the abdominal area!

There's a little reddish scar directly north of my navel that's from a mole removal, not my band surgery. The horizontal line on the right side of the photo is my port incision. This April I had my port repositioned (it had flipped). I don't have an additional scar from that, just a new scar that is gradually shrinking the way the original one did.
I also have scars from an abdominal hysterectomy (8" lateral incision) and a breast reduction (about 20" total lateral incisions plus the vertical scars and nipple scars) that have faded a great deal. I have a 2" scar from an inguinal hernia repair in my 20's. And small scars from skin biopsies, accidents, and other injuries. None of that bothers me. Wearing a bikini or posing in the nude for Playboy are not high-priority items for me. If my bariatric surgeon had to do my band placement in a open instead of a laparascopic procedure, those scars would be totally worth it. If I had to have a double mastectomy or a limb amputation to save my life, those scars would be worth it. I certainly wouldn't enjoy them, but I love life and I'd do just about anything to preserve it. The bariatric scars are in my skin, they don't go to my soul.
