Excuse me but I do have a clue, I have enough sense to know not to EAT! Yes, I was panicking.... I experienced pain I never imagined possible! Seriously, why do you need to be so nasty? More questionable.... why did you feel the need to start a new thread to bash me when all I did was ask for advice, which is what I believed these forums were intended for?

U did the right thing. U had a band problem.............u posted on the band forum. Most ppl on here will try to help if they can. Others.........not so much! :-( Just try to ignore the ones that want to be rude.

If u do have anymore questions and don't want to post on the forum there are several bandsters that have had theirs quite awhile that would be more than happy if u want to PM them. I am hoping that the rude remarks don't stop u from posting on the forum though!

Good luck!

There are so many posts from people who just seem to not get the obvious...yours was one of them.  Things come up in life that require common sense and if you cannot eat, but you can drink, there is no need for panic...
I am sorry if I came across as mean, that is not my usual.  My apologies...just a little short tempered from dealing with the REAL issues in my life,
Call the doc.

actually I've read through your older posts and not only are you general insensitive and rude but the fact that you think you know it all after what 5 months is almost comical.

I'm really sorry you are dealing with real issues in your life, but I still don't think I was asking the "obvious" and I'm sorry you feel the need to criticize my concerns. My real life issues at the moment are learning to work & tend to this tool I paid THOUSANDS of dollars for.
You say not to panic but I have read post from folks on here that went to bed drinking only sips of water such as my issue and woke up foaming at the mouth... Were you serious? Don't panic my ass!

After following several of the suggestions I received from the CARING folks here, I am feeling 100% better and have no need to call the Dr again. After caring for my husband that has been vomitting all day... I'm beginning to think I'm not over-filled, maybe just had a stomache bug of some sorts. I'll see how the weekend pans out before getting the unfill.

No worries Maria, I'm sticking around thanks to folks like you

Tammy,

You were not asking the obvious and are not clueless, what you are is a new bandster who has all the right in the world to ask a question.

I don't believe that there are any questions that aren't important, when something happens it is natural to panic and where else are you supposed to turn to??

A place where no one else but someone who has had the band and or another weight loss surgery can understand what you are going through.

I am over 2 years out and have been on this board since before being banded, I (as many will agree) have had many questions, some that may have sounded trivial, repetitive or redundant to others but to me they weren't and that is all that counts........ same for you...the heck what some people think.....

I have two pieces of advice:

Ignore those and don't keep responding to people that are negative or attack you ....some like drama and will look for it every chance they get........use the block feature if you must.

The biggest one of all is never hesitate to come to this forum and ask a question, 99% of us don't care how many times a question is asked, how easy or "obvious" the answer is because to be truthful when you are experiencing something you don't think of the obvious or the common sense aspect of it............

Bravo Michele - its nice to see someone more than a year out who is responding in a caring and helpful way to noobies. They are lucky to have you here for them.

Good luck!

Never be afraid to ask. Better to ask and feel daft than not ask and end up in trouble!

Stomach bugs can be a real issue for us. Luckily to date I have only ever had the sort that went downwards (to be polite about it!). But I have read of many people getting very swollen and sore from being sick.

Glad everything now seems OK.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Who the heck are you to talk?  You don't even know about your own surgery type!

Starting a thread like this was out of line and inappropriate.  It is beyond rude.  The other poster did the correct thing, she asked a question.

Get over yourself.
