I haven't been on here in awhile. Hello everyone!
I have had my band almost 3 yrs now. I had lost a little over 100 lbs, but have had alot of health issues. I have gained 40 lbs this year, partly due to steroids, and partly due to bad eating  habits. I had a total unfill about 8 months ago. I go tomorrow to start getting re-filled! Yeah!!!
I bought on elliptical trainer, enjoying that alot.
For those of you that remember me, my twins are 3 1/2 now and just started preschool a couple weeks ago. They are doing really well.

Welcome back, Shelby!

The weight regain is too bad (steroids making me into a monster eating machine), but you know what to do - get the fills, eat the way you know you should, and put in plenty of time on the elliptical and chasing the twins.

I'm glad to see your back. I've been MIA a little myself. Celebrate your willingness to get back and fight this battle. I have no doubt you will get there soon. I've had to applying positive thinking and reach out to others myself lately. I've gained a few pounds, but happy to report today (after months) the scale is finally starting to lean in my favor. Fighting to be healthy is so worth it. Best wishes to you and don't be a stranger.

I have had a very serious condition with my blood, the specialist feels that the lapband is at the root of it. My bone marrow has stopped working. I had an unfill and ate everything on the planet, gained 40 lbs over the last year. I have been in the hospital several times for iron infusions, blood transfusions, etc. Here I am a year later, 40 lbs heavier and still my bone marrow doesn't produce. So, to sum this up- I see no reason to stay heavier and I am getting refilled today!! My blood specialist gave me the okay since my body doesn't absorb iron anyhow, eating more of it isn't going to make one drop of difference.
My fill appt is in one hour and half. I am so happy to start to lose this weight again. I knew in my heart that gaining weight wasn't going to be the answer. Since when is a 5'8" woman at 143 lbs considered too thin anyhow?? I can't wait to be there again.
