Heat and humidity
does any one find they gain weight or have water retention? I'm not eating differently but I feel bloated. I'm drinking more than enough water, cut down the salt. I'm exercising at a more moderate level since I don't want heat stroke- but I'm going longer. I'm also having muscle crampping all over. Yuck! Get this weather out of here! This is why I can't live in the south.
Day 9 of straight 100 degree days here in Dallas Ft Worth metroplex. 110 with the THI.
You might have low potassium levels which can cause cramping. If you are not used to the heat you could be sweating too much of the good stuff out despite being hydrated. Might want to try a banana if you have one handy or a Gatorade if you are not low carbing.

When its hot and humid I often retain a bit extra water. It is your body's protection against possible dehydrations even when you are drinking properly. Muscle cramps could be low potassium(sp?). Try eating a banana a day. Are you getting enough fiber? With all the protein we eat I don't get enough fiber from food and I have to take fiber each day. Good luck
welcome to my southern, FL world LOL. Yes, heat and humidity mess with my body pre and post band. It also makes me much tighter. The pounds will go so stay the course. Drink MORE water than you normally do as well.
and even though you are drinking a lot of water make sure to drink an enhancer like mineral water zero or gatorade zero or propel. I know when I'm out boating I get very dehydrated no matter how much water I drink. I have to bring out the big guns or I will get very sick. You need the sodium and potassium that is depleted while sweating.
