Never in a million years thought I'd have this problem

But I am not hungry and not interested in eating and a little worried about not getting in enough food in a day especially cause I'm back to my normal exercise routine.  I feel kind of like youd expect to feel if you haven't eaten all day and it's 2pm and you worked out this morning.  Except without the actual hunger.  Do I need to be worried about low blood sugar or passing out? I have been drinking water all day though so not dehydrated.

Anyone else experience this? And what do you do? Force yourself to eat? Have a protein shake instead of food?

It's a good problem to have, and no, I never don't feel like eating!  However, I am satisfied with my 1/2 cup portion and can easily go 4 hours between meals.

The only thing I'll say is that you need to eat breakfast.  I don't really support liquid protein at this point in your journey, but many use it and it works for them.  I do know that If I skip any meal it's never breakfast.  While I never used to eat breakfast pre band I've learned to eat it regularly after my morning skinny latte.  I need it for energy to get through the day.  Just like you read in all the articles, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I've never seen that one disputed.

No mater what, don't cheat yourself of protein even if you have to supplement.

Take Care!

Thunderrgirl....don't worry about it for now just sip room temperature water all day long this way you stay hydrated, this is YOUR time to get weight off quickly because you may not be able to keep this fill level for long period of time...usually it will get tighter and tighter with any hormonal changes such as menstrual cycles or stress, so while you have it with no adverse side effects, ride it but with caution...make sure you don't resort to soft carbs i.e. sugar, crackers, milkshakes, sometimes fills like this will back fire and because folks can't tolerate solids and have no choice but to eat high calories sodium rich soups and junk crunchy stuff.

If you are able to get down the protein drinks do that, it's better than drinking milkshakes or candy and cookies...good luck and YOU may start to feel weak, make sure you take your vitamins and drink plenty of water to keep from getting dehydrated. Good luck

In the main, I agree with Lisa - make sure you get enough protein in! I only disagree about breakfast - I am well aware it is a meal not to miss but I never eat it!

I do sometimes forget to eat but I try to make sure that I eat reguarly. Otherwise, getting enough nutrients in, not just protein, isn't possible.

But I agree it is a great problem to have!!

Hmm... yeah, I don't know if I could eat breakfast at this point unless it's at noon like last Sunday.

This is my lunch, which I got at 3:15pm and am still eating (3:43). That's more because I'm being overly cautious and not that interested, not because I "can't" eat it.

I walked down to Wholefoods and got 5oz off their salad bar. Which is really awesome when they charge 7.99 a pound!  On my plate you can see cuban shredded pork, a piece of pesto chicken, some edamame, and some vegan "beef".  It all tastes wonderful but if I had anything more interesting to do right now I wouldn't be eating it.

Who am I and what did they do with my brain???

Thundergirrl if you are able to eat some of this food SLOWLY...without PBing..and no nightly reflux...You've hit the jackpot...this is your sweet spot.... take care of it! Eat slowy and if you don't feel like eating...DON'T you won't die just take your vitamins and keep the fluids in.. I know it's hard to wrap to wrap our heads around not eating much. Good luck and congrats!

Thanks, you've made me feel a lot better! I can in fact eat this food. Most of it is gone now (45 minutes after starting.) And no PBing, stuckness, or whatever.  I've never had reflux in my life so if that starts, I'll be well aware. But I'm not worried. I can only hope my jackpot lasts more than a couple of weeks now, huh?

Thanks for the encouragement. THE hardest part of all this is understanding that I'm not going to starve to death if this is the size of all my meals, or smaller (as this is my first all day.)

your body will take what it needs.  listen to your body.  do not eat if you are not hungry.  make the calories you consume count, high protein, high fiber.  you are adjusting.  and to be blunt, we are used to eating 2.3 or even 4 times more than we needed to.  you are actually probably getting plenty of calories.  there is nothing wrong with letting your tummy rumble before feeding it.  hope that helps.

I often have the same problem.  I make sure to get my water in and I eat something 3 times a day (even if it is only a protein shake or 1/2 a container of Greek yogurt) otherwise I won't get protein or nutrients in.  I log my food and manage 500-700 calories a day.  My dr tells me not to worry to much about the low calories yet if it keeps up for several more months he will make other sugestions as he doesn't want me to go into "starvation" mode and have organ problems.  Right now he said to just make sure to get protein and water and not over eat.  Most mornings I am not hungary or feel like eating so I will have a protein shake for breakfast to get 30+ grams of protein and give my body something to start the day on.  As far as low blood sugar, when my blood sugar drops I feel shaky from my insides out until my hands start visably shaking and then I will get light headed, dizzy and weak.  Protein helps to maintain blood sugar.

I do not eat breakfast at all and sometimes I do not eat lunch until late in the afternoon and the I may not eat anything the rest of the day. I eat when my body tells me it is hungry. I make sure that I take my vitamins as directed by my Dr. I  make sure that I exercise also.
Just listen to your body.
