I am noticing that you are having coffee. My nutritionist told me that I cannot have caffeine once I have surgery as it can cause ulcers or something like that. I am taking it that you all don't have a problem with caffeine? Thanks for the info!

I drink coffee all of the time.  But, I didn't have coffee probably the first year or so out of surgery.  Sometimes coffee can cause acid reflux... something to think about.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

I drink decaf...I have been drinking it since literally the day of my surgery. It was the first thing I drank when I came home from the hospital. The doc said it would be fine and probably soothing to my stomach.

Some people are bothered by the acid in coffee--- if you aren't bothered now, good chance it won't bother you later.  Most of us drink coffee.  My DH isn't banded and cannot tolerate coffee at all, it's like acid razors to him.

E: coffee
B: turkey sausage patties
L: sesame chicken, hot and sour soup, couple bites of rice
D: Crab pasta (not so much of the pasta for me, but DH hasn't gotten to eat pasta in a while, so I'm being nice-I'll focus on my crabby sauce ;o)
