Naomi,

What happened was this.  While you were all swept away with your last "fiance", everybody here got together and elected me the Queen Mother of the Band forum.  It's a shame that you missed my coronation - we had a great party with 19 male strippers, 3 performing circus elephants, champagne and chocolate fountains, and 500 doves coming out of a 5-tier cake.   It would have suited you to a T.

Jean

And DAMN but it was a good party. I woke up face down on a beach in Bali! But Jean, didn't the 500 doves come out of the ELEPHANT??

Oh, so THAT'S why the doves were brown instead of white?  I thought there was something wrong with my vision because my eyes kept crossing.

Venerable newbies?

Poor Naomi.  A highly-paid software engineer who can't afford a dictionary.  Or figure out how to use one.

ummm, Nana?  I think that you're either misusing the word venerable,

ven·er·a·ble

1. commanding respect because of great age or impressive dignity; worthy of veneration or reverence, as because of high office or noble character

OR you mean to write vulnerable.

vul·ner·a·ble

1. capable of or susceptible to being wounded or hurt

Just a heads up, you may be scaring and discouraging newbies.
Is that your intent?

Kathi C...NOPE I am not misusing the word vulnerable I am currently working on my masters degree in Information Technology - I HATE ENGLISH...and most importantly -- I  can't see a lick when typing  .  I  should have put on my bifocals, you will probably see words missing, and misspelled too, I am not getting paid to post here, but most people get my point of what I am trying to convey. This definitely is not a professional forum so as long as most can figure out what I am trying to say and post...no need for additional edits....I am very busy person.

Nope not discouraging anyone, I THINK reporting band slips, and other horrific complications would sound a bit more discouraging....I think my posts are HELPFUL to those this may happen too, many really appreciate my fill dilemma it may open their eyes if they mysteriously miss saline...I think my post BRING WAY MORE VALUE to this forum than IGNORANT CATTY women who will CHARGE people for support EVEN THO the information in their books are wrong...they can get more useful information googling the Internet....

Well, at this time, I happen to be a very UN-busy person. I'm home and have plenty of time to read and respond. As a matter of fact, I actually took the time to read this ENTIRE thread.

I was curious to know more about you and your situation, so I tried to go to your profile but it didn't work. When I clicked on your Screen Name “Nana" I got this message: “
We're sorry, but we could not find a profile at /member/sexy_chocolate/ or the owner of the profile has made it private." Why is that?

Your claim is that you are ‘very busy’, yet you are finding time to reply continually to “Jean" and everyone else (including me) who posts to your thread. Many people would see the constant posting as someone who has lots of time on their hands.

I don’t think you’re going to find the answer to why you have not maintained a feeling of restriction here on the OH forum. I understand that you’re trying to survey others who have bands, but the data you collect isn’t going to get you the help you need. Only a competent physician performing specialized testing will answer your question.

Posting here is only taking up so much of your precious time, with no results.

Also, I have found throughout life that name-calling is never helpful. Quite the opposite. It’s done to inflame the other person and to continue in a dramatic way. That is what you’re accomplishing here.

If this is your thread, and you’re unhappy with comments left by others, is there no way for you to delete their comment?

Just my thoughts,

Kathi

Kathi I do get a few minutes to break away -- this is why I don't edit my post, it's too time consuming, but I don 't have time to spend all day on these forums as yourself....you are right the forum is not going to help solve my problem -- but it will IDENTIFY my problem...also I probably have more experience with more band issues than anyone here...that said, my MAIN reason for making  this post was to HELP OTHERS and try to identify the average fill amount of others to build my case...hopefully that helps you understand more.
