Thanks for the prayers I have a group of friends from church praying for me too.  I think it's really neat that God would bring a couple others going through the same ordeal to intercede for each other.  He is good even when our cir****tances are not.

If you don't mind me babling on...I just thought this was neat, I was memorizing Gal 5:1 from the Message...Christ has set us free to live a free life, so take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

I was just laughing about this because for ME this lapband has been a "harness of slavery" and I will never again let anyone put one on me....lol

I can totally understand why you call your band a "harness of slavery"LOL  I'm kind of looking forward in a STRANGE way to having the band removed and scared all at the same time.  But, I prayed and ask God that what ever the insurance co approves me for, will be what HE wants for me.  We tried to get them to approve a switch to RNY, we tried to get them to approve to replace the band with a new one or just try and re adjust the one that has slipped, and the only thing they approved is to have my band removed.  I know that is His will for me.  I will just take it one day at a time and lean on Him for my support and to help me control my eating.  I know people with both lapband and RNY who have gained all their weight back, and their band and surgeries went fine.  It is how bad you want it, I guess.  I've been with the band for a good 2 1/2 years and have my eating pretty much under control,  I just pray that continues.  I have a lot of support from my husband and family, and they are very encouraging, telling me that i'm going to be fine and that I CAN do this.  I started getting into a regular exercise routine again to prepare myself for rest of this life long journey.  Thank you so much for your email!  Please keep in touch and let me know how your surgery goes. Be Blessed!

I sure hate to hear about your upcoming surgery and I pray all goes well with your band removal!

All the complications scare the bejeesers out of me but I can't worry about it now, all I can do is try my best to do everything in my power to follow the rules to help keep my band!
