I'm stunned - I pop on once in a while and Alyssa is one of the people I look for when I'm here. I visited today because I have also been having some reflux/band issues - to see that such a bright soul has been lost is devastating. My thoughts are with her loved ones - thank you for letting us know.

Sally,

Thanks for letting us know.  Alyssa was so brave and so dear.  It is awful to lose such a bright young person.  I'm going to send you an e-mail about this in a minute.

Oh no!  I knew she had been having major medical issues, both before and after her revision, and was hoping things had been going better for her :-(.  Please give her family my condolences!

This is very heartbreaking.

I have been in touch with Alyssa regularly for many years, througout her many Band  and then Bypass issues.

She never gave up , even though struggling daily.

Prayers for her family and for all of us too.
