I need an unfill soon....
On top of this I didn't want to go into work cause I feel lousy and I ended up coming in to only find out that my boss has called in sick. I hope I can get into my dr's today. I really don't care if no one is here to cover our work. it just figures, when it rains it pours.

That's tight!
Adding 1.5 cc to an existing 7.5 is a very aggressive fill for this stage. As we get more saline in our bands, docs tend to give smaller and smaller fills. But you may well have one of the very large bands and so this would be less aggressive than it sounds! I am sure your doc knows what s/he is doing!
Just one thing, if your boss is sick, could you have caught something? I am always tighter when unwell. But never so tight I am relcutant to drink or swallow mushy foods.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I only have a 10cc Realize band so not too sure why the nurse filled it that tight. I know I was pretty loose @ 7.5ccs but like you said i thought it was kindof agressive too by putting 1.5ccs more. I just got an appt for 4pm est and they said to drink as much fluids as I possibly can before I come in.
My boss just has TOM and doesn't want to come in. It just figures the day I need to leave to go to the Drs she is not here. Oh well, I have to take care of myself too.
Thanks,
Kim

I'm not sure why you would be eating solids at 3 days post fill anyway. I would have never been able to eat solids immediately after a fill, regardless of fill level.
i'd get to basics before rushing in for an unfill, but that's me. Two days of clears, 2 days of fulls, and then 2 days of soft foods.

Well, everyone is different. Some have swelling for days, some have no swelling at all.
Do you know there is a doc in TX that has you do the whole entire post op diet after each fil? 10 days clears, 10 days fulls, 10 days soft foods. I think that is a bit of overkill but it goes to show you that some people really swell a lot. I think his name is Rincon, not sure.
They well could have given you too much of a fill but there is another issue here as well. If you get stuck, slime, and puke that causes MORE swelling and more swelling causes more puking, more puking causes more swelling. It's a cycle that is hard to break once it has started.
Better to error on the side of caution, if you are swollen in the least, get an unfill.
I am soooooo glad I don't go to that dr in TX. LOL. I know I have to be swollen. I have slimmed so much this past weekend. Thank you for you all your advice and suggestions. I really do appreciate it.

Any bets on how many people actually follow that advice? ;o) Sounds a great deal like a doc that no matter what happens it will always be the patients fault for not being able to follow directions.
You could all but close off a band and keep folks on clears forever. If that doesn't work for them are they a bad bad bandster or is the doctor an idiot?
Yep! You are exactly right.....this surgeon, Dr. Eldo Frezza has done some horrible surgeries. However, I am sure he would love to blame it all on his patients....but I know of TWO of his patients that went a year or so thinking that they were doing something wrong, only to find out the band was never even placed around their stomach!!! TWO PEOPLE...and I only know 4 people total that had surgery with him!! What are those kind of odds??
I just had surgery to repair a slip......a different surgeon and much better surgeon did the repair job. I have faith that his work will last!
