Couch to 5K
I did week 1, day 1 this morning. And I got my bootie handed to me! After the first 3 jogs I couldnt make myself jog anymore! Do i just keep doing day 1 over and over until i can fini**** no problem and then move on? That would make the most sense. The fact that my route is kind of hilly helped me not be able to finish, but it wasnt all of it.
Sounds familiar!!! Yes, I would just keep going untill you get through the 1st week (3 days worth) and then move on when you're ready. Everybody is different. You may take longer in the beginning and then once you get going you'll take off.....who knows, just keep going whatever you do!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
I myself started this program and did day 1 and then didn't get any further. I need to get myself into a workout routine sooooo bad and I LOVE the idea of the couch to 5k - I just need to get motivated to start it again.....

SOunds like a great program. I think going to try it, I have such a hard time running. But I took this quote from the cool running couch to 5k web site. Hope this helps your decision. "If, on the other hand, you find the program too strenuous, just stretch it out. Don't feel pressured to continue faster than you're able. Repeat weeks if needed and move ahead only when you feel you're ready".
Best of luck to you!

This is such a great program, do not feel bad about repeating days or weeks for that matter. Interval training is so good for you! You can do this! It is easier to do on a treadmill than the pavement because the treadmill will "propell" you so keep that in mind if you switch between indoors and outdoors. (read don't be hard on yourself if you do better indoors than out) ! Keep it up and take a picture when you cross the finsh line in a few months!
If it is to be, it is up to me!
Hi.....just wanted to add my 2 cents' worth......I'm on this training program because I ALWAYS wanted to be a runner....even just a "casual" runner......who could enter a 5K race. I'm can run 1-1/2 miles now, but have gotten stuck at the part that says to run a mile, walk 1/4 mile, run another mile. I'm staying at that point until I can do it, and then I'll move forward again. It's hard but so worthwhile! My 5K is scheduled for November 1, so I should have plenty of time to be ready.
Just wanted to offer some words of encouragement. When I started training in late May, I could barely run 1/4 mile without stopping. It was been fabulous to watch myself improve over time, even if the progress is slow.
I'm told it's a wonderful feeling to cross the finish line on your first official race, so I'm really looking forward to it.
