1 year bandiversary.... with pictures!

Morning of 1 year anniversary, December 13, 2008 -103 pounds

I'm so happy to report that its my year anniversary! Whew! What a great year its been! I've lost 103 pounds since surgery, and have gone from a tight and uncomfortable 24 to a comfy size 12! I don't think I'm the fastest loser out there, and have definitely had my plateaus. But I keep moving forward, changing up my exercise and my eating habits until I trick my body into letting go of some more weight.

My favorite change has been that I'm now a runner. I LOVE it. I get cranky if I miss a day.  I never would have imagined I would grow to enjoy exercise. But I do.

Another great change is that I'm now comfortable in my relationship with food. I don't have any forbidden or 'bad' foods. I eat what I want, its just the band lets me know when its time to stop. I never was able to stop on my own. I would stop when the food was gone.

I can't wait to see what will happen in the next year. It just keeps getting better!!!
