Let me start off by saying you look amazing, im in the process of getting ready for surgery, not scheduled yet but my appointment is Sept 30th. Im not certain about which to do?  Can you give me any insite on how you feel with the Lap Bad? Im worried about having a foreign object and my anxiety is telling me I may strees over this? Keep up the wonderful work I hope to be shring my stories before long

For me, Lap band was the ONLY WLS I was interested in doing.  I love having this band.  Everyone is different and just make sure you research ALL your options before making your decision.  I have 2 friends that have done RYN about 3 years ago and now they struggle to not gain and have gained.  I love the fact that it is adjustable and it does not rearrange my insides.  Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you so much for the reply, Amy do you know it's there does it bother you and have you had any problems with the he slippage? This is my first choice and this is what I started out nothing but the band I will pro bally go this route just because i know if anything goes wrong it can be reversed.

Thanks Again

I haven't had any problems with the band.  In the beginning, probably my 4th month, I got a too tight fill and had a pouch dilation, but I never left the clinic and I just went back in and they removed some fluid.  That was not fun.  The water just stayed in my throat and it hurt.  It wasn't a big deal and I just happen to be one of the bandsters that can not have the fluid check before a fill.  Once I get past 6cc's in my band if they pull the fluid out before a fill and then put fluid in after, I swell shut.  Took a few months to figure this out, but it wasn't that big of a deal.  Good luck.
